“Your Day Will Go The Way The Corners Of Your Mouth Turn”

I often try to remind myself about how fortunate and blessed I am, and amazed at how the last year of my life has come together. This past weekend my mom was in town visiting and we got to talking about how life will always work out well if you just believe that it will. There are some people in my life who demonstrate this quality really well, and others who I have known to be really challenged in this area. I then found this quote yesterday and couldn’t help but write about it… we can all use a little reminder every now and then.

I don’t believe in bad luck, and I don’t like it when people blame the world for their problems. I do believe that positive thinking and optimism  is really what can make you have a good day, a good month, and a good life. Life is not going to be some smooth ride without any hiccups, but if you focus your energy on the good in your life, you will continue to see more good things come true. This post isn’t designed to be an advertisement for The Secret, and you really don’t have to take it that far to make good things come your way.  All you need to do is focus on the little things in life that make you happy, remind yourself of all the good things that you have to be thankful for, and instead of blaming yourself or the world for the things that need some improvement, make the necessary changes and keep the faith. If you stub your toe first thing when you wake up in the morning – just laugh a little and then forget about it. If you carry the bad mood energy into the rest of your day, I guarantee you that you’ll have a bad day. But on the other hand, if you find the positive in situations, and brush off the rest that weighs you down, you’ll end up having good days. Sure, you might still have a bad day every once in a while – you’re only human. But the bad days are there to remind usjust  how good, a good day feels like. So focus on your good days, and the good stuff. Happiness is a choice, so choose to be happy. Choose to find the good in people, the good in situations, and believe that you deserve a world of happiness. In the end, things will work out and life’s stresses will cease.

Just have faith, have patience, a good attitude, and smile. Your day will only go up from there 😉
