About Chianne

Hi friends – I’m Chianne… It’s actually not pronounced ‘Chianne’ at all, but if you know me, you know all the different combinations of pronunciations I put up with. If you don’t know me, I promise I don’t blame you for how you pronounced it in your head.

I was born and raised in Pretoria, South Africa, and then moved with my family to Phoenix, Arizona when I was 8 years old. While I thoroughly enjoyed living in the beautiful desert for 13 years; as a young twenty-something I was looking for a drastic change and the excitement of a new city. In December of 2010, I moved to San Francisco and found so much more than just a drastic change.

I could never have predicted it and I would have told you that you were crazy if you told me I’d only live in San Francisco for three years. It’s an amazing city and I loved every second of it. But something inside me told me it was time to come back home to Scottsdale.

While I’ve always been somewhat of a writer, the new chapters and new challenges that have been thrown my way seem to have taught me lessons of learning, humor, and the need to just love life. I started this blog when I first moved to SF, and have had overwhelming support and  acknowledgement of how my little words can sometimes make a large influence.

So I will continue to write my stories, including photos and happenings of the (new) amazing city I live in, reflecting on some world events,  and share my words to help inspire and motivate others to see beauty in things that are sometimes easy to overlook. I promise to always deliver words that speak true to my heart, with the only aspiration to make a small difference in the world.

Thanks for visiting my blog – happy reading, and remember to just, love life.
